International Multi Talented Artist, Writer, Actress, Pianist and Dancer

Chantel Cofie, born to an Egyptian mother and an African father, is a multifaceted talent. She embarked on her artistic journey at just six months old and is now a professional singer, songwriter, musician, actress, and screenwriter.

Chantel rose to musical prominence very early in her career, being awarded a scholarship to Australia’s leading academic and performing arts school, The McDonald College, at 15.

In 2015, she graduated from Inaburra High School, with a Band 6 in Music Theory, Musicology, Live Performance and English.

Following the likes of global superstars (Quincy Jones, John Mayer, Lalah Hathaway and Charlie Puth), who attended the world’s most prestigious music school, Berklee College Of Music, Chantel was also accepted on a scholarship.

Her latest performance startled the nation after appearing on Season 10 of The Voice Australia. The coaches gave her a 4-chair turn and a standing ovation after she sung her original ‘2020’ for the blind auditions; a song inspired by the Black Lives Matter Movement. With 1.72 million viewers watching that night, her audition has generated plenty of repeated views across all platforms.

She has recently released her debut EP, “PRESSURE”, with her end-of-year Spotify streaming at 2.3 Million, and climbing.

Chantel was introduced to acting as a young child and has done an extensive body of commercial and television work. Her most notable works to date has been her lead appearance as “The Smart Cookie” on Disney Channel’s BF Chefs, callbacks for Daisy Jones and The Six, Heartbreak High and Class of ’07.

Chantel has always been passionate about writing. From collaborating in songwriting and conversing with the likes of composer Erran Barren Cohan, multi-award winning film composer Hélène Muddiman, hit producer/songwriter Andrew Lane, Grammy-winning Producer, Vassal Benford, R&B Superstar Usher and others.

Chantel has also written numerous screenplays. Mentored by HLA’s Rebecca Sommi-Fisher, Chantel’s skillset has sharpened exponentially. Her due diligence and passion for writing has allowed her to build an expansive repertoire across varying genres. She’s excited about the prospect of getting her first screenplay green-lit!

This young, radiant artist has a huge career ahead of her. Chantel has an ambitious vision to fulfill her dreams of dominating the international music charts and film industry.
